RIYADH: Prime Minister Imran Khan met King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his day-long visit to Riyadh, as part of his initiative for peace and security in the middle east, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
During the separate meetings, PM Imran, King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed matters of mutual interest.
The leaders also discussed the ways and means to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
PM Imran also briefed the Saudi leadership about the latest situation in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Prime Minister Khan also stressed the need for resolving differences and conflicts through political and diplomatic means for the sake of peace and stability in the region.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Special Assistant for Overseas Pakistanis Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari and senior officials were also present during the meeting.
Earlier, PM Khan reached Riyadh on a day-long visit to Saudi Arabia, where Governor Riyadh Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Minister of State and National Security Advisor Dr Musaad bin Mohammed Al Aiban welcomed the PM Imran.
This is Premier Imran Khan’s third visit to Saudi Arabia this year. From the Saudi side, Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman paid a state visit to Pakistan in February, earlier this year.
On Sunday, Prime Minister Imran Khan held a meeting with Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and President Hassan Rouhani at Saadabad Palace in Tehran.
Speaking at a joint presser alongside the Iranian president, PM Khan said Pakistan is willing to play its role towards strengthening peace and stability in the region.

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to remain engaged and consult closely to reduce Saudi-Iran tension.
The agreement came during Prime Minister Imran Khan’s separate meetings with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman in Riyadh.

Hassan Rouhani welcomes Pakistani gesture for peace
“I told Prime Minster Imran we welcome any gesture by Pakistan for peace in the region and appreciate his visit to our country,” said Irnaian President Rouhani at a joint press conference with the premier.
Rouhani said that the two leaders had discussed, among other things, the war in Yemen and the sanctions by the US on Iran. “Regional issues have to be resolved through regional means and dialogue. We also emphasised that any goodwill gesture will be responded with a goodwill gesture and good words,” said the Iranian president.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Wednesday said that Iran is ready for dialogues with Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to defuse tensions.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said that the worsening of Saudi Arabia and Iran s relations will have a profound impact, adding that Tehran said it did not want tensions with Riyadh.
The foreign minister said that Pakistan has friendly relations with Riyadh and Tehran, adding that the recent visit of the Prime Minister Imran Khan to both countries.
Regarding Kashmir, he said that former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah s daughter Safia and sister Suraya were detained by Indian occupation forces and shifted to Srinagar’s central jail, as they tried to stage a protest demonstration in the heart of Srinagar city against the scrapping of J&K’s special status.
He said women’s protests in Srinagar have proved that a new wave is emerging, adding that the Indian forces also tortured the protesting females and used pellet guns and tear gas to disperse protesters.
