Extremist RSS ideology has taken over India: PM Imran ::: Indian army chief’s statement aims at diverting attention from internal turmoil: DG ISPR ::: Indian Army Chief’s statement routine rhetoric, Pak Army ever ready: ISPR

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday expressed concern towards the minorities residing in India and said that an extremist ideology RSS has taken over nuclear-armed country of over a billion people.

PM Imran took to Twitter and said that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is an ideology based on racial superiority and hatred of Muslims and all other minorities.

The Prime Minister said whenever this genie has come out of the bottle, it has always led to bloodshed.

Imran Khan also shared an article carried by The Times titled "India is a Hindu state now -- We are second-class citizens."

Meanwhile, PM Imran extended his deepest condolences to the people of Oman on the demise of Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said - one of the Middle East’s longest serving rulers who maintained the country’s neutrality in regional struggles. He added that Qaboos was a visionary and transformed Oman into a vibrant and modern state.

“Oman has lost a beloved leader, and Pakistan lost a close and trusted friend”, he expressed, adding that may his soul rest in eternal peace.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan stated that he has directed the concerned authorities to submit an "immediate report on the condemnable, cowardly terrorist attack" in Quetta on Friday, which claimed the lives of 15 people including a deputy superintendent of police (DSP).

In a tweet, the premier hailed the martyred DSP as a "brave and exemplary officer". He further mentioned that he had asked the Balochistan government to ensure provision of medical facilities to the injured persons.

"I have demanded an immediate report on the condemnable cowardly terrorist attack in Quetta targeting a mosque and people at prayers. Have asked provincial govt to ensure all medical facilities are provided to the injured. Martyred DSP Haji Amanullah was a brave and exemplary officer," the prime minister stated.

At least 15 people including Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ammanullah and the Imam of the mosque were killed and 19 others sustained injuries in a powerful explosion at a mosque in the provincial capital’s Satellite Town on Friday.

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor has said that the statement of Indian army chief is an effort to divert attention from the ongoing internal turmoil.

Reacting to the misleading statement of the Indian army chief, he said: “Statements by the Indian COAS to undertake military action across the Line of Control (LOC) are routine rhetoric for domestic audiences to get out of ongoing internal turmoil.”

The DG ISPR said that the Pakistan armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any act of Indian aggression.

Earlier on Saturday, the new Indian army chief, Gen Manoj Mukund Naravane, said that his force would take steps to take control of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) if the Indian government gave such an order.

He also said India and China would set up a hot line between senior military commanders to ensure better communication to maintain peace and stability along their common borders.

Recalling that a 1994 resolution of the Indian parliament had stated that the entire disputed state of Jammu and Kashmir belonged to India, Gen Naravane said: “There is a parliamentary resolution that entire Jammu and Kashmir is part of India. If parliament wants that area (AJK) should be taken we will definitely do so and appropriate action will be taken accordingly.”

On Feb 26, 2019, Indian fighter jets had violated Pakistan’s airspace in the dead of the night, but dropped their payloads at an abandoned mountainous region of Balakot while fleeing after Pakistan scrambled its warplanes.

The next morning, Pakistan Air Force delivered a bitter reprisal in the IOJ&K when its jets carried out air strikes in broad daylight next to Indian military targets deep inside the occupied territory, triggering an air battle in which two Indian fighter aircraft were shot down and the pilot of one them was captured – only to be released later as a “goodwill gesture”.
